ARTE di MODA – Giardini di Seta. Vittorio Accornero per Gucci
Hosted in the evocative spaces of the Accademia Carrara, the collection designed for Gucci by Vittorio Accornero (Casale Monferrato, 1896 – Milan, 1982) includes thirty-six scarves, plus two dresses, some of which unseen before.
These highly refined accessories, today considered real museum objects, became indispensable for every glamorous woman between the 1960s and 1970s: thanks to Vittorio Accornero’s creative inspiration. His scarves were worn by female icons such as Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Onassis and Monica Vitti, promoters of a sober and aristocratic elegance, typical of the Italian STYLE.
The exhibition aims to establish a dialogue between these sophisticated accessories combining them with some artworks and adding brief insights to the new couple.
The path is configured as a passionate comparison between deeply different epochs and spheres, capable however of entering into communication and enhancing each other.
