IL SEDICENTE MORADI
La forza, la paura e la meraviglia
On the occasion of the opening of the PwC Gardens, Accademia Carrara hosts Strength, Fear and Wonder, a project by the Florentine artist Il Sedicente Moradi, created in collaboration with PwC.
In the artist’s works, the dialogue between sculpture and the environment is expressed through reclaimed materials such as dead branches and leaves. The artist gathers and works with the materials directly on-site, using only a few simple tools to minimize environmental impact. Embracing the philosophy of street art, the artist removes all barriers between the artwork and the viewer by creating recognizable animal figures that interact with the surrounding context and its people. Wood plays a significant role: it carries the memory of the landscape from which it originates and where it is placed, recording events and changes until it eventually wears away.
Created on the ground floor of the PwC Tower in Milan, designed by Daniel Libeskind, the installations are temporarily set up in the PwC Gardens.
